The Happy Song!

So a few years back, on one of those fateful nights, a few friends and myself stumbled into the abode of my friend, Warren's, spot. We sat and had one of those early morning drinks, you know the one! Where you talk about the tragedies of the night, hours before you drunken kids stumbled to a safe house, at the crack of dawn, and proceed to engage in mindless psychobabble fueled by old Klippies and Cola til the last man says toodle loo to that long stretch of wakefullness!
So there I was, pretty cut, when all of a sudden I heard a tune that really caught me from the start!

"Who sings that song," I directed my question to whomever knew the answer.

The boys didn't know the name of the song nor did they know the artist but they branded the tune as "The Happy Song" and how true it is. Whenever I feel a little stressed, it never ceases to amaze me how this song establishes to extend the logical fallacy that everything will be more than "just ok!" It's more than just a song, it's a memory that stretches out across many years, blanketing an array of folks that have been a part my life, and triggers visual images of situations long passed. It brings the step back into my strut and why not just daydream for those 3 minutes and 28 seconds if only to believe that we lived a life littered with great memories and with funky background music to shake your donkey to. Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you, the "Happy Song" ENJOY!
