Just a Thought About Creating!

So how do things end up being created? I can imagine some middle class man who had an average desk job in the corporate universe stroll into the company bathroom. He opens the cubical and lo and behold lies before him the greatest invention to aid one of the worst of our habits, physiologically speaking of course. He starts to unbuckle his belt and assume the position that every living person would assume at some stage of their life or another, unless of course there's that one individual who can pull off the whole "standing up routine". I guaran-damn-tee you if someone could pull that off, I don't expect that particular person to get a standing ovation but there are a few people that would be impressed. Anyway back to our ordinary man.....there he is sitting and conducting Valsalva maneuvers when he realises that there is a measly looking roll of toilet paper left on the holder consisting of one good length he could use. In a state of panic he rattles his noggin for an idea to solve this problem.

"What to do, what to do?" he says to himself.

He can't walk back into the office smelling like some geriatric from hospice. He begins to look under the other cubital and maybe pull a switcheroo, but as he lowers his head to that open space that seperate the bathroom stalls, he notices a pair of black Bally shoes, Armani pin striped pants, a belt fashioned to replicate a snake, and ........a pink G-string? Now there's a story for the boys but not without the price of losing a bit of face.He darts his head back up into the faux squat and can't believe his luck. A couple of silent curses are looping through his mind right now

"What to do, what to do?" he says to himself.

If I was a narrator throughout this whole scene at this time, I would probably say something like "without up there is no down, without a left there is no........," and pause for a few seconds before our character realises that he does have the other cubical to explore. He slowly lowers his head and takes a peek. No one there but the door is open. He might have to pull a Speedy Gonzales. How embarrassing if our poor friend, were to be caught by his co-workers. He literally would be caught with his pants down pulling some inexplicable move in some baffling position. As he was about to make his move, 2 guys walk in talking about their conquests the night before. Damn his luck

"What to do, what to do?" he says to himself.

Now we'll cut to the point where he walks back into the office and sits at his shabby looking desk and asks himself, "Why doesn't anybody invent something that holds multiple toilet rolls?"

A pause after this question and like a hammer to the head, he has just come up with an idea to make millions and millions of clams. It is at this point a co-worker walks into his cubical looks down at his feet and asks, "Where's your socks?"

The whole point of this long story, that I have depicted, is to give you the sense of how things are created. In extreme situations, it is hard not to walk away a stronger and smarter person, if one should survive the experience. It is in these instances where we are driven to better ourselves and our environment. We are creative beings but we are uninspired, creative beings. It takes situations like our friend above, to create something so that no other being can go through what he had to go through. It takes situations like war for example, for people to be motivated to develop weapons of mass destruction in order to protect their country from terrorists and cause even more pointless killings that number in the millions. It takes situations like a loss of a loved one to be inspired to better ourselves, not take those close to us for granted, and push our spirit and soul to the absolute edge. It is in these instances that we gain our thoughts and ideas so that we may know, "what could be". It is then our responsibility to convert these ideas into words so that we may let other people know, "what could be", and from there we have even more of a responsibility to develop our actions so that our thoughts may become reality. It is at this point you come to be proud of yourself of not what could be, but what actually is.

I've lived in America for 3 years now and it seems like they have created everything under the sun. It ranges from the very useful, efficient and effective devices to the useless, over-priced, and not as yielding ones. I'm not looking to invent anything to revolutionize the technological age. I am, however, planning to write a book though, and concentrate on writing music. Writing and music are 2 things I feel deeply about. I'm gonna see where it takes me because given the past month, I am now inspired. For now it is just a thought and one I plan to create. Through my actions I will prove to have directed myself closer to perfection. I've developed a quote about perfection and posted it on my facebook account.

It is our job to create things more marvelous than anything before them but never to obtain perfection. Perfection only brings despair. As a creative being of society, I must come to terms with finding ecstasy while suffering with that antinomy!
